A gastronomic bar located in the Arrancapins neighborhood whose interior design signed by Viruta Lab evokes one of those neighborhood markets full of stalls with fresh produce and local cuisine.

Al Taulell is defined as a gastronomic bar that aims to return to the origins of the market, where delicious tapas based on local products await us, which do not need any pretense to succeed. Dishes such as the salad ‘al taulell’, cuttlefish in mayonnaise, figatells de la Safor, steamed cockles or their cocas, are some of the proposals that cannot be missing from the table.

As for its design and interior design, the Viruta Lab studio was in charge of making Al Taulell possible. “A restaurant that transports us to the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood market, full of ephemeral stalls made of metal and canvas, where we can enjoy the fresh and typical product of local cuisine, valuing the essence of La Terreta”, they say from Viruta Lab .

«The beauty of the nudity of the premises located in a building with imprint, as a starting point, calls for the consolidation and respect of its essence. The imperfect and bare character of the envelope, exposed bricks, patinas of the paintings and the original forging of its windows, perfectly simulate the architecture of the historic neighborhoods of Valencia, where weekly you can enjoy those street markets, “they add.

The result? Two clearly differentiated and separated spaces between the lobby area as a showcase for fresh produce featuring a double-height bar; and a second area for the dining room with several high tables where you can gather the best company and an excellent product around the table. All this based on an Art Nouveau aesthetic and a color range made up of gold, two shades of blue and an off-white.
