The busy and iconic Plaza de la Iglesia in Campanar has a new neighbor: El Carrer. We find behind his design and interior design Néstor Espinosa and his studio ojo_de_arquitecto.

The long-standing bar in the Plaza de la Iglesia de Campanar has risen from its ashes and has just opened its doors a few weeks ago led by Rubén and Juanra. Both present an open kitchen with the preparation of fresh produce from Valencia and Galicia (their native lands), grandmother’s recipes and a clear commitment to grills.

“El Carrer is Campanar, it is its people, the orchard and village life”, comments Néstor Espinosa. That is why the earth colors, wood and Valencian tile are the protagonists of an interior design that invites you to enjoy the place in all its forms and representations.

And as for the gastronomic proposal? «Their menu is a tribute to historic bars: seafood salad (Bar Ricardo), bravas El Carrer (Bar Amparín de Patraix), salad from Llisa (Bar La Primitiva de Catarroja), potato and mayonnaise salad (bar Mayor de Mislata) , bravas sandwich (Bar Morrut), etc.,.. as well as the current rereading of recipes of a lifetime, without losing its essence of cuisine of yesteryear », he adds.
