El Observatorio (The Observatory) was born to become much more than a restaurant, a centre of operations hosting itinerant chefs, creative activities and loads of design.

The Mendoza family’s universe includes its very own Valencian Milky Way on Calle Jeronimo Muñoz. The first star in this constellation was El Astrónomo. Then came El Observatorio and, finally, El Almacén de Patraix.

What used to be a former drugstore has now become an observatory that gazes back upon what it once was, maintaining touches of the original business on the premises, such as the signs on the façade. Inside you have Lebrel shelving, the sketch showing the premises’ earliest design engraved on a column and, naturally, delicious delicacies such as causa limeña, ceviche, tiraditos and eel salad.
