A place far from the traditional idea of Opptic store, and whose interior design has been conceived by architecture, design and branding studio El Departamento.
Project Lobster is a startup that already has stores spread across Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia. For the opening in Valencia they entrusted El Departamento studio the concept of their store in the city. They were the ones who decided to recover and maintain some of the elements and designs inherited from the premises before becoming an optician.
“We find ourselves with a narrow and elongated room, characteristic of this type of space, although with a significant free height, and a structural skeleton that was worth highlighting,” they say from the design studio.
In this store they have tried to make customers feel at home, where the glasses are displayed on shelves, the workshop is open to the public (imitating a kitchen island) and where the waiting sofas could well be a living room . The cabinet located at the back plays the main role of the room. As for the finishes, materials and colors, we find velvet to support the products, recesses to give roughness to the vertical elements and wood to provide a sense of quality. All with custom designed furniture.
