A neighborhood fishmonger converted into a place that pays homage to the Portuguese country with its seafaring tradition and its exquisite preserves and green wine from Porto.
Its colored light bulbs take you back to the historic ports and Portuguese festivals.
A total of 50 types of preserves fill the wall behind the bar. Imported directly from Portugal, they are the queens and the star ingredient in their dishes.
The interior design project carried out by Espacio Ideo wanted to wink at the neighboring country, maintaining and respecting the history of the place. Pepe’s Fishmonger retains the exterior sign that now decorates part of the premises, the wall tiles, the tables with part of the marble from the old counter and even the scale with which the fish was weighed back then. The essence of that nearby neighborhood place also remains, that corner frequented by many customers who have become friends.
