When Begoña Rodrigo decided to make her dream come true and turn her restaurant La Salita (The Living Room) into a real home. Now housed in an 18th-century Valencian mansion, La Salita’s new location is all about timber, natural light and wicker.

This new, more natural and traditional environment has led the chef to create a culinary proposal centred around Valencian produce. Its veggie patch, its seafood and its rain-irrigated produce are the stars on the menu. Her new house is a nod to her childhood, to her favourite memories of her village in the mountains, especially the restaurant’s main dining room, in which a natural camomile forest hangs.
