If there are environments that define lives, there are places like La Sastrería (The Tailor’s Shop) that define cuisine – a way of eating and of being.

La Sastrería pays homage to the sea and the Mediterranean. A space that also shows respect for its surroundings, the Canyamelar-Cabanyal neighbourhood. This is conveyed both in its cuisine and interior design.

In the 1950s this place was a fabric shop making tailor-made suits. Now, among the streets of seafood, ingredients instead of fabrics are woven together. Sergio Giraldo, a chef and one of La Sastrería’s alma maters, is in charge of creating these culinary endeavours. He pays homage to the sea while respecting the environment in the dishes his kitchen prepares.
